Invisible

Even as a child,
sitting on the floor with
other children,
Even though we were sitting together,
I felt alone and invisible.
The teacher told us to go outside,
Suddenly,
All the children
were running over the top of me.
All I could see was legs
In front of my face.
"It is true."
I thought to myself,
"I am invisible."
